Red Boxes

For many incarcerated women, a shoe box full of toiletries may be the only Christmas gift they receive. If your church or group is interested in participating in this ministry, please contact your association office. They will give your church information on different types of items to collect, where to bring the donated items and the date they are due.

We are asking everyone to sign-up ONLINE for an item. It is first-come, first-serve. We cannot guarantee that you will get your first choice item. 

2026 Information for Drop-off Dates & Delivery Dates

Drop-offs:  November 16th-20th, 2026 10AM-4PM

Counting Day:  November 23rd, 2026 9AM-12PM

Packing Dates:   November 30th 10AM-12PM packing for Center for Community Transitions
                                  November 30th 6PM packing for Anson Prison
                                  December 3rd 6PM-8PM packing for Raleigh Prison

Delivery Dates:  December 1st delivering to Anson Prison
                                  December 4th delivering to Raleigh Prison

Packing Slip:  We are asking all participants to please use this packing slip. Please insert this packing slip on the outside of your shipping box as well as inside the shipping box. Thank you.

Packing Instructions

Use Cardboard boxes ONLY for packing items
Send only new items with the price/sticker removed
No bags of ANY kind
No Rubbermaid Containers
Do not send glass or metal containers, wrapped gifts, or attach scripture verses to items

Specifications of Items Needed

Deodorant:
2 to 3.5 ounce/plastic bottles
Shampoo:
15 – 18 ounce/plastic bottles/NO CONDITIONER because Prison will not accept shampoo combined with conditioner!
Lotion:
8 to 11 ounce/plastic bottle/NO PUMPS
Toothpaste:
6 to 9 ounces fluoride toothpaste (no charcoal)/leave in original box
Toothbrush:
Adult size toothbrush/leave in original wrapper/no multipacks
Bar of Soap:
3.2 – 5 ounce /leave in original box (no charcoal)
Chewing Gum:
5 Stick Packs (Smallest Size) (Ex: Big Red, Juicy Fruit)
White Crew Socks:
WHITE only/Please remove the plastic tags, paper, etc. and fold together as a pair
Chap-stick:
Original size
Gloves:
Adult one size fits all/Please remove the tags, paper, etc. and then fold together as a pair
Hard Candy:
3.8 oz bags of Jolly Ranchers candy. This size is available at Dollar General, Family Dollar and Dollar Tree or make your own bags of 18 candies each in zippered sandwich bags.

Christmas Tracts:
We need 3,000 Christmas tracts. Please sign up FIRST on the online form to donate Christmas tracts. Then, click the button below to order one of these specific tracts.
