Mom Camp & Military Wives Retreat

Mom Camp & Military Wives Retreat
Leave the kids at home and take a weekend to breathe deeply, rest, and have some serious mom fun. We’ll learn how our homes can be places of peace, and how our children can bring the peaceful presence of Christ to their places of influence in a more and more chaotic and divisive world. Along the way, we will talk about questions like, “Am I doing this mom thing right?” and “It is normal to not remember if I washed my hair today?”
Did we mention that you don’t have to cook or clean up?
*Mom Camp is a special retreat that is combined with the Military Wives Retreat. Participants will enjoy worship, camp activities, pampering, and meal times together, and will have separate space for small groups, breakout sessions, fellowship, and prayer times.
Worship Leaders:
Brittany Brown
Our speaker is Mom and Military wife, Brittany Brown of Sneads Ferry, North Carolina.
“Being a military wife, you deal with things other women don’t deal with,” she says. “Here I was with a one-year old about to have another baby and my husband was in a combat zone in Iraq. And I think the hardest part was I couldn’t just pick up the phone and say, ‘Hey, we’re about to have a baby.’ That’s why community is so important in a military town. I ended up having six women in the delivery room with me. And it was amazing.”
Brittany Brown and her husband, Joshua, planted Pillar Church of Topsail to reach military families who are stationed at nearby Marine Corps Base Camp Lejune.
Pillar Church is part of Send Network, the North American Mission Board’s church planting arm.
Mom-led Worship
